digging deeper

Every season I plant a vegetable garden and every season I watch most of it go to seed, never fully harvested. I've started wondering why I continue to plant it year after year if tending to it doesn't come easily and naturally. This makes think about what else in life I spend time and energy planting (doing) that I never fully follow through with.
This spring I'm taking another path and planting some of these beautiful flowers and sticking only with the herbs and greens that I actually use.
As for the rest of my life, I'm taking inventory.

What about you, how's your garden follow-through? And the rest of your life, anything to weed out?
